I spotted the new Maybelline Kajal 2 days back and I couldn't resist the reverse colour packaging of original Maybelline Colossal.Though I haven't tried the black colossal but have tried the coloured one's.The new version worked beyond my expectations , so to know more about it please keep on reading.
Price: INR 300 for 0.35g
The packaging is a regular retractable pen form with black and yellow graphics.The cap shuts very tight hence you can slip it in your purse easily.
The shade is a dark black but according to me it is not the blackest black.Texture is like regular kajals and not buttery or smooth.The best part is that it sets quickly to a smudge proof matte finish.With aggressive rubbing it just smudges a bit so this feature is a thumbs up for me.On very close observation one can find few silver shimmers here and there but are barely visible on lids so this doesn't cast any problem.Pigmentation is great and single swipe delivers good intensity which can be further amplified.
Staying power is 10 to 12 hours on upper lid (which becomes quite oily) and I am yet to try it for more hours which I'll update here soon.On oily lids it does smudges if you rub it otherwise it stays long.If you sport wing eyeliner then you might see a tiny-miny smudging below the wing area but you can clean it easily with your finger.I do not wear kajal on my lower lid so I cannot comment on that.Also it is waterproof but if you rub it while wet then it will smudge and flake so avoid doing that.To remove it you need an oil based remover.

Overall I would say that on my oily lids Maybelline the Colossal Kajal 'Super Black' managed to stay for more than 12 hours and stay true to its claim , with very slight smudging at the corner without rubbing too hard on very oily lids.It comes with a very affordable price tag and is completely matte and kind off waterproof also.I Highly Recommend this Kajal.
