Today I am reviewing a Gel Pencil from a brand I am lately in love with.I was in love with the first pencil I used from Essence and in that excitement I bought this second pencil from the range Gel Pencils in the shade Midnight Blue.Read on to know how this pencil fared for me.

Packaging:The Liner comes in a normal pencil shape with a retractable system.Unlike other retractable pencils it has a twisting system towards the bottom.Comes in a colour coded cap packaging which makes it easy to identify it in my vanity .
Shade,Texture & Pigmentation : The only thing which propelled me to purchase was the shade as I did not own this colour. It is a deep navy blue with a sheen to it.I have got the compliments for this shade and is quite wearable for formal occasions...Coming to the texture it was a disappointment for me because the previous pencil I tried from Essence was super creamy and this one is not so smooth.It may appear soft on hands but on lids I have to tug and pull my eyes and is one of the pencils with bad texture from my collection.Forget the precise lines as basic lines are a bit draggy to draw.Being a gel pencil I expected it to be very smooth and it doesn't fulfills it claim of being Velvety.The pigmentation is very good in an single swipe and can be intensified a bit.
Staying Power: Staying power is good and is also waterproof to some extent but not completely..It doesn't smudges or fades but with intense rubbing may flake...

Overall I would say that the Essence Gel Eye Pencil Waterproof-Around Midnight is a very beautiful navy blue shade to try as it compliments Indian skin a lot but the only con I find is the texture.If you can bear with it than try it else skip it.
