If you read my blog regularly then you must be aware that I love Lakme brand and I love to try the new launches. Lakme launched its new range Lakme 9 to 5 naturale which is enriched with the goodness of Aloe Vera.In the first phase it launched Lipsticks,Powder and Aloe Vera gel.But I was waiting for eye product to be launched and as I saw the Gel Kajal online on Nykaa, I immediately ordered it.

It comes in a pretty rose gold pot accompanied by a small green brush.Everything is packed in a cardboard box with rose gold and green gradient just like the other products from the range.The brush has a decent quality and is good for application.

I have a stack of so many kajals and liners and I still bought it just because it has some natural ingredients in it unlike other eye products that I have.Aloe Vera has always been my favorite plant not only for beauty purpose but for health also.What's the point in putting chemicals in your eyes when something better is being offered.

Also it contains Calendula oil which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to soothe and soften skin.Both Aloe Vera and Calendula oil will not irritate sensitive eyes.Not so good point of this product is that ingredient list is missing and simply stating few ingredients as the highlight is not appreciated.

The texture of the kajal is very smooth mousse type just like the Loreal Gel Intenza Liner.It delivers pigmented kajal in one swipe.It can be further intensified.It has a satiny finish and takes around 10-15 minutes to set.Even when it sets it is not smudgeproof and tends to spread slightly.I always wear a winged liner and never put kajal in my lower lashline. It stays for a decent time but if I accidently rub my eyes it does tranfers slightly to my fingers.It is waterproof, doesn't flakes and doesn't transfers to my eyelids which some kajals do.

I have used better gel liners but they fall in an expensive range.For this range I think the kajal works decent but I wish the formula was more budge-proof. To enhance the longevity I wear a flesh toned eyeshadow and then apply this.Also topping it with a black eyeshadow would make it more long lasting.

It can be easily removed using an oil based cleanser and not micellar water.

Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Gel Kajal is a decent kajal which is enriched with goodness of Aloe Vera and Calendula Oil.It is not the perfect choice if you want a very long lasting smudge-proof kajal but is a good choice for short trips to market or college.The only reason one should buy it is the pigmentation and the presence of natural ingredients especially if you don't like chemicals in your makeup.
