Chikankari is an exquisite handmade embroidery work which is world famous for its simplicity and grace.White reflects the elegance and its combination with intricate chikanari never fails to create a spell.
Within the boundaries of Lucknow, I tried to capture the essence of chikankari by featuring the ruins of residency which echoes the nawabi history.
I have paired the dress with the traditional chandbali earings which has beautiful pearl work going on.Earings complete the outfit and silver toned bangles add to the look.Rest I have kept the look simple and makeup basic.
The churidar(bottom) also has chikanari work and looks quite in tune with the outfit.Kurti has goonj pattern all over it which happens to be one of my favorite design.
The best thing about chickan dress is that they are extremely light weight and comfortable in the hot and humid climate of India.Nothing feels so pleasant and graceful like chikan dresses atleast to me.If next time you are planning to visit Lucknow do shop some chikankari and I am sure you will love them.
